International Game Fishing Tournament, 2007


The 27th International Game Fishing Club Tournament took place in Pacific Harbour, Fiji from the 15th of August to the 19th of August, 2007.

18 boats took part with 70 fishermen/women.

ForceLine came in with a total of 328.9, Tui Stone, Alfie Christofferson and Peni Reily.

Phyllis Williams on Bill Fever hauled in the heaviest wahoo.
Phyllis scored 62.4 on Day Two and 6.2 on Day Three.

Heaviest Tuna - Matthew Cook - Riviera One

Matthew Cook of Riviera One hooked the heaviest tuna.
Matthew scored a total of 69.6 on Day Two and 228.6 on Day Three.

Heaviest Mahi Mahi - Anil Kumar - Riviera One

Anil Kumar on Riviera One caught the heaviest Mahi Mahi of the tournament.

Anil scored a total of 129.9 points.

Heaviest Walu - Bruce Southwick - Kania

Bruce Southwick bought in the heaviest walu.
Bruce scored a total of 24.o points.





Hard Luck Prize - Ryan Irvine

Ryan Irvine was awarded the Hard Luck Prize as his boat did not make it to the tournament.

He jumped on Wai Tadra as boat boy to enjoy the fishing fun anyway.

The crew of Turaga Levu impressed the judges with uniforms for night and day to win the BEST DRESSED prize.Dan, Kenny and Horace on board Turaga Levu

1st Place - Kania

On Kania we had Max Oyagawa, Justin Smith, David Fiu, Geoff Eden, Bruce Southwick and Stan Slatter.

Kania was the WINNING BOAT with a total of 541.1 points.


2nd Place - Riviera One

Riviera One, owned by Riviera Fiji, one of the major sponsors of this Game Fishing Tournament has on board Matthew Cook, Big Roddy and Anil Kumar.

Rivera One came in 2nd place with 427.1 points.

3rd Place - Forceline

ForceLine is a Grady White owned an operated out of The Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour. On board with Tui Stone as captain, were Alfie Christofferson and Peni Reily, with Rene Munch and Courtney Kruse waiting to welcome them home safe on dry land.

ForceLine finished 3rd with a total of 328.9 points.

Opulence - 4th

The 57' Rivera boat OPULENCE crew were Ben Doggett, Tim Eden, and the owners of Adrenalin Fiji and the Riviera Fiji Dealership, Paul Cook and Zdenka Cook.

Opulence came in with 258.3 points for 4th place.

Play Station - 5th

Play Station had on board Morris Davis, Phil Tombs, Allan Coleman and Russel Baumann.

Play Station came in 5th place with 207.5 points.

Dolphin Star - 6th

The crew of Dolphin Star were Jim Boyd, Bart Degen and Joe Maher.

Dolphin Star scored 175.6 points for 6th place.

Turaga Levu - 7th

Turaga Levu, Royal Suva Yacht Club, crew Adrian Hannington, Chris Donlon, Horace Gock, Dan Thorn, John Phillips and Russel Ah Sam.

Turaga Levu came in with 171.7 points for 7th place.
